Sarah Standley

Director of Networks

Sarah Standley serves as the Director of Networks for The White Dress Project. Diagnosed with fibroids in 2019, she was frustrated by the lack of information available to fibroid sufferers. She felt that her symptoms were normalized and was advised to “wait and see” if the fibroids grew and pain worsened. Eventually having an open myomectomy in 2020, Sarah found The White Dress Project when researching the procedure, how to prepare for it, and how to recover. By participating in focus groups and events, she found strength and power in this community of women who knew exactly what she was going through.

Sarah is passionate about centering the patient experience and helping women advocate for their heath. Her mission in working with The White Dress Project is to expand the reach of the organization, in turn providing helpful resources and a nurturing community for women who struggle with uterine fibroids.

Sarah lives in Chicago, IL and enjoys weightlifting, cooking, and live music.
