Policy & Advocacy Committee - Dir. Tiffany Shackelford
Mission:
Track and identify policies directly or indirectly connected to TWDP’s goals and interests.
Build and maintain relationships with legislators interested in uterine fibroids and related healthcare policy.
Lead special events such as advocacy day, additional legislative briefings, days of action for The White Dress Project community as needed.
Work in coordination with the Director of Communications to include relevant policy content on social media and in other electronic updates.
Point of contact for Fibroid Awareness Month resolutions, fibroid-related policies, and women's health legislation.
Participate in meetings with federal, state, and local elected officials as appropriate.
Partnerships Committee - Dir. Nkem Osian
Responsibilities:
Liaison to The White Dress Project’s Physician Advisory Board.
Build and maintain relationships with physicians, mission-aligned community and corporate organizations, and other healthcare stakeholders.
Assist with planning events with physicians and healthcare stakeholders.
Work in coordination with the Director of Communications and Communications committee to include relevant medical updates on social media and other electronic updates.
Research Committee - Dir. Mykelle Richburg
Responsibilities:
Track ongoing and emerging research related to uterine fibroids.
Build and maintain relationships with universities, other research partners.
Collaborate with the Director of Fund Development on any grants/financial partnerships related to research.
Work in coordination with the Director of Communications to include relevant updates on research advancements in social media and other electronic updates.
Fund Development Committee - Open Director role
Responsibilities:
Liaison with corporate and medical funding partners.
Research grant and other multi-year fundraising opportunities. Assist with grant writing as needed.
Assist with planning for fundraising events, including Night in White and others as added.
Work in consultation with the Director of Communications on individual giving campaigns.
Networks Committee - Dir. Jennifer Howard
Responsibilities:
Assist with annual patient surveys, focus groups, or other activities related to tracking the interests and needs of patients.
Build strategies to center patients in the work and activities of The White Dress Project.
Support membership and volunteer intake, training, and placement to support The White Dress Project.
Finance Committee - Open Director role
Responsibilities:
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for The White Dress Project.
Co-signatory on all organization bank accounts and financial management applications.
Work with all Directors to produce annual department budgets in line with organization goals and capacity.
Work with the board chair and contract account to produce an annual organization budget.

Communications Committee - Dirs. Tadena Simpson & Danielle LeGrand
Responsibilities:
Create content for a website, social media, and email distribution lists.
Ensure external-facing materials, including special reports, presentations, and fact sheets meet branding guidelines.
Monitor and respond to incoming media inquiries.
Programs Committee - Dir. Jonelle Henry
Responsibilities:
Curator of our EmPOWERment Experience during July 14-16, 2023
Assist with systems of program evaluation (ie. surveys, focus groups)
Participate in planning for signature education programming (ie. Dialogue with The Doctors, Tea, and Talk, Taboo Talk)
Support planning for ongoing TWDP monthly programs
Operations Committee - Dir. Dominique Bradley
Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and implementing business guidelines and strategies for The White Dress Project.
Work with the Founder/CEO, board members, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure practices and processes are executed in accordance with the guidelines and organization’s objectives.
Serve in an administrative role; managing (Board Minutes, Send Meeting Agendas, Zoom Links, Manage Boardable, Managing organization email account, Managing Calendars, and Assistant to Board Chair, )
Regularly evaluate the efficiency of the organization’s business procedures according to overall objectives.
Revising and/or formulating policies and promoting implementation.
White Dress Cares Committee - Open Dir Role
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership for the development of a strategic plan, recruitment, WDC toolkit, and fund development, including identifying and/or developing potential revenue streams (fundraising, sponsorships) for White Dress Cares.
Work collaboratively with the board chair, members of the board of directors, and any contract consultants for activities related to managing the program’s education, webinar, intake, and retention initiatives.
Provide ongoing strategic counsel.
Patient Education Committee - Dir. Teneele Bruce
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership for the health-education initiatives of the organization.
Work collaboratively with the board chair, members of the board of directors, TWDP advisory council of physicians and health practitioners.
Lead special projects with healthcare stakeholders, working with the Director of Partnerships as sponsorships are involved.
Work in coordination with the Director of Communications to include relevant medical updates on social media and other electronic updates.
Marketing Committee - Open Director role
Responsibilities:
Strategic storyteller to create and share a compelling narrative about our work of patient advocacy.
Develop and implement the marketing strategy focused on growing TWDP.
Lead the development of brand strategy and articulate desired brand positioning.
Lead and direct the development of an integrated marketing communication strategy.
Create content for various mediums including but not limited to Digital marketing (e.g., website, social media platforms) Internal Communications (e.g., newsletter, company-wide emails, town halls, intranet, bulletin boards, board meetings). Serve as a thought leader for all marketing campaigns, taking the lead to manage projects, and deadlines.
Men’s Advocacy Committee - Open Director role
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategy to clearly define committee objective/goals including initiatives, events, fundraising, recruitment and retention.
Serve as a thought leader for all marketing campaigns, take the lead to manage projects, stakeholders and make recommendations to enhance brand position.
Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity to the needs as well as concerns of women with reproductive health concerns.
