Dr. Cherie C. Hill, MD, FACOG

Dr. Cherie C. Hill is an Assistant Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Emory University School of Medicine with an ABOG focused practice designation in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS). She is a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana, and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UC Los Angeles.  She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University, where she served as Chief Resident, with a GME concentration in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement. 

Dr. Hill is board certified and has a focused practice designation in MIGS for management of gynecologic disorders, particularly abnormal uterine bleeding and fibroids, in addition to providing comprehensive obstetrics and well-woman care.  She is passionate about educating patients, medical students, resident and fellow physicians.   

Beyond the clinical setting, Dr. Hill serves as the Wellness Ambassador and Chair of the Wellness Committee for the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and as Director of the Resident Wellness Program.  She also serves on the national CREOG Wellness subcommittee and the Clinical Practice Guidelines – Gynecology committee for ACOG. Her research interests include resident well-being, determinants of preterm birth and heavy menstrual bleeding.  

She maintains her own wellness through participation in public service, photo journaling, mentorship of local students; quality time with her husband, 3 children, extended family and friends.
